Leadtime Display Help Center
Setup guide and frequently asked questions
Learn how to show estimated ship dates on product pages, how business days are counted, what each plan includes, and what to check when something looks wrong.
Getting started
After installing the app, follow these three steps to show an estimated ship date on product pages.
01
Save your default settings
In Lead time settings, set the default lead time, regular closed days, and order cutoff time. Then click “Save and sync to store.” The default lead time is the number of business days from order to shipment.
02
Add the block to product pages
In the Setup section, click “Add to theme.” Add the Leadtime Display app block to the product template in the theme editor, then save the theme. If your store uses multiple product templates, add the block to each template where it should appear.
03
Verify the storefront
Open a product-page preview and confirm that a date appears. Return to the app and click “I can see the block.” After changing display settings, reload the product page before checking the result.
You can start on the Free plan
The Free plan includes one store-wide lead time, business-day calculation using Japanese holidays, regular closed days and a cutoff time, and the product-page block.
Date calculation
The app uses your business-day rules and Shopify store timezone to calculate an estimated ship date when the product page is viewed.
- Japanese public holidays
- Built-in Japanese holiday dates are excluded from business days.
- Regular closed days
- Selected weekdays are not counted. You cannot mark every weekday as closed.
- Order cutoff
- Before the cutoff on a business day, counting starts that day. After the cutoff, it starts on the next business day. You can also choose no cutoff.
- Temporary closures
- On Growth, exclude periods such as summer holidays and New Year closures.
Example
With a two-business-day lead time on July 20, 2026 (Marine Day in Japan), the estimated ship date is July 22 because the holiday is excluded. Dates are estimates calculated from your store settings, not carrier delivery guarantees.
Plans and features
Growth costs $4.99/month and includes a 7-day free trial. Charges appear on your Shopify bill.
| Feature | Free | Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Store-wide default lead time | Included | Included |
| Japanese holidays, closed days, cutoff | Included | Included |
| Japanese and English messages | Included | Included |
| Tag/metafield override rules | — | Included |
| Regional delivery estimates | — | Included |
| Out-of-stock message switching | — | Included |
| Temporary closure calendar | — | Included |
Notes for Growth features
- Override rules are evaluated from the smallest priority number, and the first matching rule is applied.
- Product-tag matching is case-sensitive. Enter the tag exactly as it appears on the Shopify product.
- Metafield conditions use the format namespace.key=value, for example custom.leadtime=long.
- Regional estimates do not use Geo IP. The visitor selects a region on each page view, and the selection is not stored.
- The out-of-stock message uses the selected variant at initial page render. It may not update when only the variant selection changes on the page.
Troubleshooting
The block does not appear on the product page
Confirm that you saved and synced the default settings, added the app block to the product template, and saved the theme. If you use multiple templates, verify that the product uses the template where you added the block. The app requires an Online Store 2.0 theme that supports theme app blocks.
The storefront does not reflect my changes
If the app shows “Your store is not synced with the latest settings,” click “Sync now,” then reload the product page. If saving returned a sync error, wait a moment and try “Re-sync.”
The calculated date is not what I expected
Check the default lead time, regular closed days, cutoff time, Japanese holidays, and temporary closures. On Growth, also check override priority, tag capitalization, and metafield conditions. The calculation uses your Shopify store timezone.
I cannot save a Growth setting
Override rules, regional estimates, out-of-stock messages, and temporary closures require Growth. Inputs on these screens are not saved on Free. Change plans on Shopify's plan-selection page, then configure the feature.
I want the block to match my theme
The block inherits the theme's typography and color by default. You can adjust text size and text color in the block settings. It does not add an independent card frame or external font.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app edit products or orders?
No. It does not edit product or order data. Display settings are synced to a store-owned metafield.
Does it collect customer or storefront visitor data?
No. It does not access customer names, addresses, email addresses, or orders. The storefront block makes no request to the app server and uses no visitor IP, location, cookies, or localStorage.
Will it slow down product pages?
The block loads no external scripts, images, or fonts. It reads the required settings from the store, with no extra request to the app server.
Are Japanese public holidays excluded automatically?
Yes. Built-in Japanese holiday data is excluded from the calculation. You can also configure your store's regular closed days and cutoff time.
Can I use it on non-Japanese storefronts?
Yes. You can edit Japanese and English messages, and the block follows the theme's current language. The admin UI and support are also available in Japanese and English.
What happens when I uninstall?
The app does not change product data, so there is nothing to undo on products. Store settings retained by the app are permanently deleted within 48 hours. Record any settings you need before uninstalling.
Are the displayed dates guaranteed?
No. They are estimates based on your configured lead time and business-day rules. Carrier delays, weather, and traffic conditions are not included.
